Sensors For The Safety Of Your Guitar
In cooperation with Lee Guitars and Qingping, Sensirion AG is proud to launch the first thermal hygrometer for guitar safety. Equipped with the SHTC3 sensor from Sensirion AG, the thermo-hygrometer facilitates the maintenance of any acoustic guitar.
Acoustic guitars are delicate musical instruments, the smallest damage can severely affect the sound and the playing of the instrument. Often, damage occurs during the transport of the musical instrument. Temperature and humidity in the guitar case play an important role. The material reacts sensitively to strong fluctuations in temperature and humidity, which can cause cracks and other damage.
Lee Guitars in cooperation with Qingping has brought a top solution to the market. The Lee Guitars Bluetooth Thermo-Hygrometer, equipped with the digital humidity sensor SHTC3 from Sensirion AG, allows to monitor the temperature and humidity inside the guitar case. The gadget can easily be attached to the guitar with the equipped magnetic latch. The temperature and humidity data is collected and stored for up to 30 days, and is displayed in a user-friendly graphic on a Qingping+ or Lee Guitars app. Limit values can be set on the Bluetooth Thermo- Hygrometer. If these limit values are exceeded or undercut, the user receives a push message and can immediately initiate specific countermeasures.
The SHTC3 sensor from Sensirion AG is ideal for consumer electronics applications.
"With its minimal power consumption, the sensor is specialized for mobile or wireless applications with battery operation. The thermo-hygrometer from Lee Guitars demands exactly these characteristics from the built-in sensor and is therefore ideally equipped with the SHTC3," says Maximilian Eichberger, Head of Product Management for humidity and temperature sensors at Sensirion.
"With the SHTC3, we have chosen a very accurate and reliable sensor. Sensirion stands for quality and excellent service, exactly what we promise our customers," says Peter Jiang, founder & CEO of Qingping.
Qingping has relied on sensors from Sensirion for a long time and is now expanding the application portfolio of Sensirion's environmental sensors with the Bluetooth Thermo-Hygrometer from Lee Guitars.
